Interfaith Sanctuary has decided to slow down their application process, in an effort to further engage with the neighborhood.
They were originally going to submit their application around 23 February, but have decided to hold off.
With the mayors announcement that the city was going to draft a new 10 year plan to address homelessness, perhaps this would be a good time to get all the stakeholders together, and to have an open conversation about what would best serve the needs of the City.
This writer, still believes that a Housing First, with an increase in affordable housing of all types is the best way forward. I also think that this should be tied into the effort to rewrite our zoning laws.
I am not going to lie, this has been personally a stressful situation for me. I am glad that everyone’s going to be able to take a breath, and perhaps the city as a whole can find a win-win situation.

Great news Rory. You are so on top of this and I appreciate it. I have written the Mayor, city council, and even Jodi. One of the points I suggested was to form a sub committee of all the players and get a large game plan. Not to compete so much but to work together. Thanks so much for all your efforts.
